VAT

Batteriepass Online is offered to businesses only. Services to businesses established in the European Union are subject to the reverse-charge mechanism (Art. 44 and 196 of the VAT Directive). Invoices therefore show no VAT; the customer provides its VAT identification number when ordering.

Independence

Batteriepass Online is a private software service, not a public authority. We are not part of the European Commission or of any national market surveillance authority, and we do not operate the EU registry for digital product passports. Responsibility for the content and accuracy of a battery passport rests with the economic operator placing the battery on the market (Art. 77(4) Regulation (EU) 2023/1542). Registration in the EU registry is carried out by the economic operator; we provide the export file for it.

Liability for content and links

We strive to keep the information on this website correct and current but do not guarantee completeness or timeliness. The knowledge articles and the obligation check are general information on Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 and not legal advice. Some of the underlying delegated acts and technical standards (including EN 18219 ff.) are not yet final.

This website links to third-party websites, in particular EUR-Lex, the European Commission and the Battery Pass Consortium. The respective provider is responsible for linked content.

Copyright

Content created by the operator is protected under Swiss copyright law. Reproduction, editing and distribution beyond the limits of copyright law require the written consent of the operator. The attribute catalogue follows the published BatteryPass-Ready longlist of the Battery Pass Consortium; rights remain with the respective authors.

The content of published battery passports originates from the respective economic operator and, to the extent it must be accessible to the public (Annex XIII Regulation (EU) 2023/1542), is public information by law.
